ENTER WITH CONFIDENCE:

SAFETY IS OUR PRIORITY

At Enter Martial Arts, the health and safety of our EMA family comes first. We have updated our schedule to include both in person and livestream virtual classes, increased the number of classes for the benefit of students, and limited class sizes by restricting the number of students eligible for each class. We have also put in place safety measures that will be in effect at every moment that you’re training with us. We want to continue to bring you the full EMA experience while making sure that you can train with confidence.

We’ve outlined below the protocols implemented in accordance with state and local directives. We are continuing to monitor new developments, and will update our policies as needed. Rest assured that Enter Martial Arts is committed to providing both a best in class experience and proper peace of mind for all students, staff, and families with regard to our health and safety standards.

First Things First

We know that everyone is eager to train. To make sure that everyone can continue to do so, we ask that you do not come to the school if you have any COVID-19 symptoms, such as any cough, fever, difficulty breathing, chills, muscle pain, sore throat, recent loss of taste or smell, or if you or someone you have been in contact with within the last 14 days has been diagnosed with COVID-19. If you have tested positive for COVID-19, or have knowingly come into close contact with someone who has, please do not come to the school for 14 days or until you’ve tested negative for COVID-19. For everyone’s safety, if you have any cough or flu like symptoms, you will not be allowed to enter the school.

Know Before You Go

Please check the class schedule on our website to ensure that you are attending the correct class. We may be making periodic updates to our schedule to allow for the implementation of appropriate class sizes and formats, and to allow for sufficient cleaning time before and after each class.

Arriving at the School

Please arrive at least 5 minutes before your class starts to ensure there is enough time to check in, and wait outside so EMA staff can conduct a health check. If you are late, you may not be allowed to attend class. Prior to entering the school, EMA staff will check everyone’s temperature via touchless thermometers and only allow entry to those permitted according to CDC guidelines. Everyone must wear a mask to enter the school. Before entering the training area, all students must either wash or sanitize their hands.

What to Bring

Please limit what you bring to the school for safety purposes, and bring only what is necessary for class as cubbies will not be available at this time. Required items are uniform, street shoes, mask, beverage, hand sanitizer, and a bag to hold all of these items. We will no longer be providing towels, so if you need one for stretching, please bring your own hand towel.

Families

To allow for social distancing, only EMA staff and students are allowed inside the school. Parents, please arrive with your child at least 5 minutes before class starts, and make sure your child has everything necessary for class. Please stay by the front door with your child until your child has been invited inside the school by EMA staff. After class, please wait by the back door of the school, and EMA staff will release each child individually. Please arrive by the end of class so EMA staff can implement cleaning measures immediately after each class.

Class Structure

While inside the school, all students and EMA staff must wear a mask at all times, including during class. We will continue to provide the full EMA experience and build in breaks to allow everyone to acclimate to these training sessions. We will mark off a socially distanced break station for each student on the training floor. During class, social distancing etiquette will be taught and encouraged. In lieu of physical contact, high fives and fist bumps, we will perfect our distanced high fives, verbal praise, and applause.

Guidelines

We will have policies posted at the school to remind everyone of expected safety practices and infection prevention measures, including the importance of wearing face coverings and frequent hand washing. Please comply with these policies for everyone’s safety. We will also be reminding all students of proper safety and distancing protocol.
Everyone should take care to physical distance to the maximum extent possible, and engage in frequent handwashing or sanitization.

HEPA Filtered Air

We have installed an air purifier with a HEPA filter, which gathers over 99% of particulates. Our purifier cleans 1,250 square feet of air every 15 minutes.

Cleaning and Disinfecting Protocols

We have always taken pride in providing a clean and safe school environment, and are committed to doing even more going forward. EMA staff will perform thorough cleaning throughout the day and before and after each class in high traffic areas, and frequently disinfect high-touch surfaces such as faucets, toilets, doorknobs, and light switches.

Keep On Kicking

We know many changes have been implemented at Enter Martial Arts, and we want to reassure everyone that your class experience will continue to be exciting, productive, and fun (even when we’re working on our full stances). Over the last few months, the EMA community has really come together and we know we will continue to make it through this journey together. Thank you for your support, and we’ll see you in class!
