EMA Character in Action

Train for the camera. Perform with precision.
An 8-week action performance program for
actors, martial artists, and aspiring action performers.
More than
Fight Choreography
Follow an 8-week curriculum inspired by the cinematic styles of Jet Li and Donnie Yen. We focus on developing powerful, camera-ready movement through martial arts-based striking, choreography, and performance training. Students learn how to move with intention, precision, and presence for film and television action.
Learn to combine martial arts, choreography, physicality, and acting to create action that feels precise, dynamic, and believable on camera. Class sizes stay small, so coaching is individual and progression is consistent from week one to week eight.

What You'll Learn
The 8 Week Curriculum

Weeks 1-3 · BUILD
Develop martial strength, flexibility, stance, boxing fundamentals, and movement.
Build your own boxing combination while learning how performance and character influence the way you hold yourself in a fight and then give it some kung fu flair.

Weeks 4-6 · DEVELOP
Explore traditional martial arts techniques, stances, kicks, blocks, and philosophy.
Develop sharpness, control, presence, and character through movement.

Week 7 · REFINE
Polish your combinations, further hone your kicking skills, and prepare your character, costume, and choreography for filming.
These techniques and combinations can and should be used for any upcoming auditions as well.

Week 8 · PERFORM AND FILM
Put everything together and film a professional action reel showcasing your skills.
